“Out of the cradle onto the dry land, here it is standing: atoms with consciousness; matter with curiosity.
Stands at the sea, wonders at wondering: I, a universe of atoms, an atom in the universe.
So what is this mind of ours: what are these atoms with consciousness? Last week’s potatoes!”

Yea your plotting library is cool and all, but can it do this?

(plotting in the terminal. No extra libraries or special plugins, just native ascii, utf-8 and ansi)

RE: pouet.couchet.org/@frederic/11

Reuters 9/2/2026 : ‹As AI enters the operating room, reports arise of botched surgeries and misidentified body parts

Medical device makers have been rushing to add AI to their products. While proponents say the new technology will revolutionize medicine, regulators are receiving a rising number of claims of patient injuries.› 😱

If you are using #Git, I strongly recommend the Fosdem talk An Efficient Git Workflow For High-Stakes Projects by Vladislav Shpilevoy
With my team we are using a workflow very close to that one for years (we even named the team Rebase to stress this fact), and it's really an efficient way!

Fun facts :
=> le budget annuel de notre équipe de 16 chercheur·ses passerait de 17 k€ à 602 k€ par an

I'm not sure why the tech people aren't mad about this. If someone came and just copy/pasted all your code and then said it was theirs, they would cry foul. But if an "AI" company does with with an LLM model, it's okay? wtf? Is attribution so much to ask? 2/2

What purpose would have these massive extended stone structures served ?

These submerged standing stones were discovered in 2017, near the Sein island just off the west coast of #Brittany. Dating back possibly 7000 years (earlier than #carnac), can be said to have stood the test of time in some of the harshest storms and tidal currents in Europe.
