This is not what or why I answered the call to serve in the armed forces. I am sickened and dismayed that this is what our government and nation is coming to. It’s mind-boggling that this cesspool of blatant propaganda is allowed to proliferate.

It’s so bad that it’s pervasive in Veterans Affairs emails now too. Never have I ever seen inciting and inflammatory politics be brought into these information newsletters to veterans.

A new setting for all you Safari users out there on iOS & iPadOS 17. The default is set to Private Browsing. This new function should also remove tracker IDs in URLs now. Might as well have it on by default for everything.

Settings > Safari > Advanced > Advanced Tracking and Fingerprinting Protection > All Browsing

Be sure to make the change when Sonoma drops next week on 26-Sep-23.

• Why do you favorite your own posts?
That is a good question. Mastodon offers the ability to automatically delete old posts. Certain parameters will exclude posts from such doom, one of them being "The Favorite".

• Why not use bookmarks?
Well, I use bookmarks for the literal informative sense.

Mastodon is a microblogging platform, and as such, my blog is a literary tool for creative expression and a means of connecting with other fascinating humans. Sometimes there are posts with comedic and/or artistic intent, and those I want to have the option to preserve.

The silver lining from the evacuation was that I made two cool new friends.

@simon the other option then would have been to hit the Copy option after the long press and then go to your Files app on the iPhone or iPad and paste the ePUB into a Downloads folder or somewhere. From Files, when you tap on the book, it will open in Apple Books. After which, you can safely delete the ePUB from Files after it imported and opened up.
