Both are good. As others noted, the second has the guy on the left in white shirt right up against the edge. It gives the second one a more claustrophobic feeling to me. Slightly unsettling. And that’s not a bad thing if you want to evoke that.

A cobblestone street with single story colonial Spanish era buildings on either side painted various colours. There are rows upon rows of string across the street going off into the distance. Each row has little rectangular pieces of paper in different colours (light blue, blue, purple, three shades of red, yellow, two shades of green going from left to right). Each paper has a cutout design.

I would ordinarily saw the B&W but I actually think the other works better and is somehow moodier.
