”Trust this device?”
What should I say? It’s my phone, but I don’t trust it.
Retro computer nerd, concerned with the world and the human condition. Into science, dystopian fiction, gamedev and high tech stuff, which is well… now mostly considered vintage

“Microsoft chief Satya Nadella warns Thing People Don’t Want boom could falter if people continue not to want it”
Who wants to be the one to explain markets to the head of a multi-trillion dollar company? Is he just used to people not wanting Windows and it selling anyway?

My favorite new portable desktop #CD player. Syitren R300. Love the look and it’s great for listening to physical music during work hours. Runs from battery or USB-C charger and has SPDIF out. #physicalmedia #cdplayer
The reviews of @NanoRaptor's 66 power outlet monstrosity are in: the LLMs don't know it's fake!
Time.com introduced TimeAI. A gadget that’s floating over every page and every article and blocks a significant amount of screen space, ruining your reading experience. So just you ask it something. You can’t close or remove it.
#FedEx is my worst delivery experience lately. First, they can't handle accented characters and can't find my address. Then they try to deliver the package during work hours when obviously no one is home. Then they do the same on the next day! I tried to change it to a box locker twice, but it failed with "something went wrong". On the third day I finally succeeded. Which resulted in them handling over the package to Budbee. Status is now unknown. No idea when can I get it.

This game looks fantastic. Love the sokoban idea combined with complex puzzles and action elements. Developed for #Atari XL/XE in 6502 assembly by the same team who did the original in 1993. #retrogaming
Hey guys if you’re into the gemini protocol I’ve got a gemini tilde server I am building. 😊
Well, I don't know what I was expecting.
Do you have a very old computer hooked up to the internet, and want to browse the web like it's 1996 again? Normally this is practically impossible, because a 1996 browser will choke on modern html, css, and javascript. And because most everything is encrypted with TLS 1.3.
Enter the http proxy server that solves both problems: Macproxy Classic
Well, this is in fact no news. The original Macproxy was created by Tyler Hicks-Wright in 2013. I created my fork in 2021. Another super cool fork, Macproxy Plus, emerged in 2024.
What is new today is that I combined the best of all forks, touched it up with some bug fixes and improvements, and polished it to a shine.
It's good stuff, I promise!

People who think programming in natural language is a good idea haven't spent much time dealing with the legal system.
@radoraccoon @varbin there was also Sonique, which was pretty cool in my opinion with its irregular skins. But still second to Winamp in usability.
