I've used platforms such as this to find and follow people that I thought to be the best in their craft (programming), that cared about their implementation and are very intentional in their work. I guess I somewhat aspired to be them in my work.
It's mind boggling to me, to what conclusions some of them came this week, comparing LLM-written code to compiler generated bytecode. Just in a single week, standards lowered, complete resignation.

@disrupted ah yeah, this is just a weird quirk of many. There's many APIs that are very handy (search bar as well) that only allow usage and customization in a certain way. As soon as you want something else, there's nothing you can do (except built it custom).
@disrupted I've got huge respect, that you threw yourself into it! Working with SwiftUI is a joy and also a curse.
Which things make you throw your head against the wall? Customizing/extending existing components? Or is managing state between various views/screens (so an architectural thing)?
Finally got to play The Last of Us 1 & 2. The were both amazing! I'm a bit sad, that I watched the 2nd season of the HBO show before, which spoiled me in some major ways, but nevertheless Part 2 was a crazy ride! Would recommend!

Put him in the role of a surgeon in front of a camera, and he will do and say things the average non-surgeon viewer will agree are surgeonish. After an hour of that, we are, as average non-surgeon viewers, satisfied and entertained.
Put him in an operating theatre, and the patient will fucking die because he's not a surgeon and knows nothing about really doing surgery.

Is #Xcode's code completion, quick help (documentation), rename and showing the call hierarchy just completely broken now? It's been barely working over the past year for me at my job. Either Xcode can't handle big projects with many packages anymore or the indexing got so slow, that it barely catches up until I change branches again. It's so frustrating 😤
