@q I had the surreal experience of hearing a carnival brass band on the streets as my train went past it somewhere in the St Gallen Canton on Thursday. Through my noise-cancelling headphones.

And even then this trip gives me one last surprise: they’ve moved one of the main exits towards Plaça dels Països Catalans at Barcelona-Santa station! They removed the Pharmacy, and have opened the door where it used to be…

Thank the Saints! I’m finally in Barcelona!

And that’s the end of an almost three week trip that brought me:
⁃ A new country (Belgium)
⁃ New routes
⁃ Lots of pretty Germany
⁃ Snow!
⁃ Pretty Swissness
⁃ And a bahning by SNCF of all people

A total of 7,248km travelled, 2d 22h 21m in trains. A lot of #Interrail and #CrossBorderRail fun. But now I must arrive home and flomp in bed.

and just as I was looking through local pizza places, we got an annoucement that the train was about to depart. And depart we have, ahead of the TGV…

I am also pondering if I dare order Pizza to the train…

We’re not the only ones being held here. The other Barcelona TGV is being held on a different platform.

I think I prefer this train to be stuck on tbh.

It’s a bit wet out there. Not massively, but doesn’t make you want to stay out there too long.

I suppose the main question is: which one of us will make it out of the station first? The Renfe train I’m on is two hours later according to the timetable than the TGV, but that is a French train, and we are in France…

It turns out we're actually at Béziers station. We're still stuck indefinitely, due to some sort of signalling problem between Narbonne and Perpignan, but they've unlocked the doors and are letting people smoke on the platform. We're going to be here for a while…

Uh-Oh... The delay was annoucned as 2 hours a while back, and now we're stuck on open track until further notice due to "adverse weather conditions”…

@partim @bovine3dom Ah, but the question is: can you put it into your own database and then provide an api that answers “give me all the trains from A to B for the date x”?

My train has arrived! And it left only 1 hour and 45 late…
