Software Engineer, hit me up if you wanna talk #reactjs, #physics or #videogames. I run and sometimes climb, nothing too high though.
I like this:
The GPS never says "Are you sure you're going the right way?"
It just says, "Recalculating route."Remember that when your kid tells you they're trans.

I've even found a #Linux flavoured "raycast" extension https://github.com/ByteAtATime/flare which I'm currently compiling in a distrobox for my system...
Not to mention staples like Bitwarden, Beeper and, even, RunJS are all available in Flatpak form which makes it super easy to get going. I'm even running Ghostty with `zsh` so it's basically a carbon copy of my macOS setup with animations that are almost as good on hardware that's 10 years old. Kinda wild.
ok 2026, the year of the #Linux desktop - Windows 10 EoL and people bouncing, HARD, off Windows 11 opens the door for the old reliable.
I binned off all semblance of the old world, no dual booting, and went all in on #Bazzite. The main reason for Bazzite is that my #Windows machine was purely for gaming. Turns out though, Linux has got that covered now and, I'm using my "gaming" machine a lot more than I used to.
#rustlang hot take: We should rename .unwrap() to .or_panic(). (And .expect() to .or_panic_with().) "Unwrap" is a terrible name for the panicking function, especially since we also have things like .unwrap_or() and .unwrap_or_default() which never panic.
Super interesting write up on building βagentsβ, deffo some food for thought: https://fly.io/blog/everyone-write-an-agent/
@filiprund art!
The old web was decentralized:
- Newsgroups
- Personal Websites
- Bulletin board
- Email as a service, not a platform
- Internet relay chat (IRC)
- Early blogs
Then corporations arrived with money and lock-in, turning the internet into centralized ad farms (Meta, X, TikTok). Users became consumers, trapped in algorithms, tracking, and enshittification. Revenue more important than people.
The Fediverse is a way back: no ads, no algorithms, no dark patterns. People first. A web worth reclaiming. And open source is the engine of this transformation.
Take back the web. Decentralize again πͺ Bring people to the Fediverse, promote open source and build federated services.

@aeischeid I found having my daily driver as something like #Zen (or Safari when Iβm on my Mac) is just as good, if not better, for #WebDev.
Letβs be honest, most Eng default to Chromium and then do quick validation on Safari / #firefox (if weβre lucky) so flipping the script means that I can feel, first hand, the pain some of our users get on the regular.
