I'd rather see animated remakes of live-action things than the inverse.

"Not everyone has enough time to learn how to draw/paint/make music" is not a valid argument.

"Not everyone has the talent" is not a valid argument.

(This is an example, I am laughably too poor to actually do this, but)
I am not an architect. I don't wanna spend the time to learn how to build a house. I want to live in a house.
Should I:
A) Hire an architect and a contractor who genuinely have the skill and time to build me a house
or
B) Use an "ai" to draft a blueprint and then ask a bunch of under-paid interns to build me a house

"Lone-wolfing" everything is the opposite of society and civilization. Stop making shitty arguments for slop generators. Wanting to listen to good music isn't the same as believing you can make good music with a slop generator.

Talent is a lie. Nobody has innate talent. That's peak cope. All skills take time and effort. Don't wanna do the time and effort? Then you don't actually wanna make the thing. You just wanna pretend and I find that offensive.

I like the boring tedium of pixel art. I don't like the boring tedium of traditional painting. Guess which one I do for a living.

@cocaine_owlbear Dreams about the Navy are typically related to needing more structure in your waking life. And seeing someone drowning can mean that you are experiencing a sense of powerlessness. Take it with a grain of salt though.

As much as I believe in dream interpretation, I feel like most of my dreams and nightmares stem from thoughts during the day that were not processed properly.

Here on Mastodon we try to hide political posts behind Content Warning tags. It keeps the feed from getting choked with politics that people may be to anxious to deal with/not apply to them.

Basically, it's just polite and part of the general Fediverse culture.

If you're using the official Mastodon app or the Web UI, there's a little triangle with an exclamation mark on the bar below text entry. Tapping on it brings up a place to provide a brief explanation (something like "US Pol" works, but you can explain a little more if you like).

Then people who can't deal with it right now can skip past it. I promise that people who *can* won't.

Your post still gets seen by people who want to see it, and you don't accidentally ruin someone's vibe/feed/high/day. It's all win! #Welcome
