Today, a friend involved in the Esna restoration project has shared with me his latest stunning photos of the restored ceiling and columns of the Temple of Khnum in Esna, Upper #Egypt. During a multi-year restoration project, the dirt and soot that had obscured the colors of the reliefs and inscriptions within the building for ca 2000 years were carefully removed. The temple is located 60 kilometers south of Luxor.

I am noticing a good ribbon of kelp. This would be a clue for the cool section of an ocean shore.
The boats are typical of Western Europe shores but might show elsewhere.

So I would have guessed Portugal or Galicia. (I've never been there.)

The cliff stone is white, which would narrow the guess to somewhere between Peniche and Sagres. That is a precision of 300 km!

... except that the greenery is very is happy. So now I am saying between Weymouth and Sandwich 😀

Good morning to all!

Wedding photographer. When compiling pictures for the album covering the reception I often exclude the rudest guests. One huge woman in a horrendous pink jacket was completely absent from her sister-in-laws wedding album because of this. Groom noticed and actually thanked me.

Friend is going through health stuff, complicated by the fact that she's a large woman, so they won't believe that her diet is actually healthy despite her logging what she eats for them. Instead (while admitting that what she's dealing with can just happen out of nowhere) they obsess about food.

I suggested saying this at her next appointment:

Hey, I know it makes you feel safer when you blame people’s health problems entirely on their behaviour and act like it’s a moral failing ...
