Remember computer books that were 1000+ pages long? I'm reading this book now and I'm feeling so F@$#ING POWERFUL! GRAAAGHHHH!!!!
Follow to watch me organize and maintain old computer gear, and maybe do some geeky-cool stuff with it all.

Re-watching the "Tom Brokaw explains Canada to Americans" video on Youtube and it makes me feel sad. I truly hope that things can eventually eventually get back to the way things were between Canada and USA.
Casually browsing through the book Digital Retro by Gordon Laing. A wonderful coffee table book showcasing some popular computers from the late 70s through 80s. I like it a lot even though it glosses over the Coco for some reason!
Who did it better?
Side note... comic book boxes are the PERFECT size for storing your PC small box games or DVD cases.
Trying to decide what I want to play this weekend. I think I've narrowed it down.
Yesterday's Wordle. I know that it's a proper name, but dang it, to me it can also be used as an adjective or maybe even a verb sometimes.
I'm off now to go do some tandying on my most tandiest of Tandy computers. K thx bye.
Recommendations for the easiest way to learn to speak Mandarin?
@nazokiyoubinbou Definitely not a Spectrum. Looks like a bog standard 16k CLIŠOISIV.
@ddlyh You know it!
Have you *really* gotten to know your computer?
@paulrickards I'm so jelly.
@paulrickards I stand (well, I'm still sitting) corrected! Thank you for the explanation. Your photo is beautiful and, honestly, I'm now a teeny bit sadder that I'm unable to see the same beautiful thing when I open up my own carry-bag. Is your Mac Portable in working condition?
I have a Macintosh Portable carry-case which does NOT contain a Macintosh Portable and because of that, I suddenly has a sad.
Also, it's clearly meant to open this way up, so why did they place the Macintosh Portable label upside-down?
@macinjosh Make a pile of old Macs high enough and you've got yourself a standing desk.
The Mac IIsi makes a pretty decent monitor stand.
@prozacchiwawa Nice. Looks like that one's playable on archive.org. I'll check it out.
@criffer Looks great!
