@patriksvensson was a bit young to really encounter it commercially but my first job involved quite a bit of 68000 assembler which was fun. Though I confess when I do it now it's very much "how did I ever get anything done like this?" :D
I make fun things, usually in #fsharp, and sometimes blog about them. Friend to Raffi.

@patriksvensson I walked right into that really didn't I? :D
Hurrah! My, free, Voxel editor (VoxEd - imaginative title huh?) has made it onto the App Store - the iPad version anyway, Mac version is still in review. Going to use it to help create a simple Space Invaders type game using WebGL and TypeScript: https://youtu.be/IovvsLyBrCY
Oh yes. Link to the app: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/voxed/id6501978867
@khalidabuhakmeh he’s gorgeous!
@patriksvensson 6502 is lots of fun - I used to do a lot of it on the BBC and occasionally still dabble. Did a Tetris clone a year or two back.
Maybe you should have been worrying about this instead of partying during COVID or betting on elections with insider information?
God. It’s too easy isn’t it.
I mean Liz Truss managed it in, what, 20 days so this seems like a step forward….
@craiggrannell their is a “safe” Tory in my area, I wrote to him about Johnson’s behaviour during COVID and he defended him as an “honourable chap” or some such gubbins. I’m hoping I can write to him again on Friday as an ex MP!
@markmoxon and I cannot image playing Zarch with a trackball… that’s some serious masochism. Would make a game like Elden Ring seem like a walk in the park 😂
@markmoxon I had an A3000 for a time but no longer. If I do tackle Zarch / Lander I might have to pick myself up an A4x0 for inspiration! The Archimedes was my first brush with Lemmings too.
I’m toying with the idea of trying to twist the UI onto the iPhone. It functionally works but the toolbars go offscreen etc.
The Voxel Editor is done for both Mac and iPad - all that’s left is the store assets and a basic website (which I am basically going to clone from the SprEd one).
Should upload today or tomorrow.
@markmoxon we had some Archimedes in the office in my first coding job - played it then. I remember the controls being tricky to say the least!
The machines were A440s I think with touch screen CRT monitors 😱 My recollection is they were infrared based. Such great times!
@markmoxon fantastic - added to watch list.
I have an urge to do a modern Lander variant as I did with elite.
The expansion to Elden Ring might be out but I'm finally getting into the original / base game. I did play it for a brief time before but bounced off - this time it has its hooks in me and I'm loving it. I had the same experience with Bloodborne.... bounced then loved it.
Deleted my NHS post. Yes I’m angry. What happened yesterday was disgraceful. This isn’t the forum for it.
Letter to the hospital and the local (safe Tory sadly) MP.
@bbcmicrobot @coprolite9000 some beautiful dithering on that
Continuing to work on the voxel editor. My Trello board has 8 items remaining until a I can publish an initial version to the App Store.

Questioning the design and dev progress was apparently "against company policy."
Been adding image and height map support to the voxel editor. If you remember the Amiga you'll certainly remember the iconic source image I used here.
