Vexingly, I've had bother with my music computer (an old Mac) and haven't yet found time & headspace to solve that or hook up an alternative.
On the up side, I have been chipping away at ye olde bass practice in odd moments, and I reckon I could probably do a pretty good take now of that song I was talking about a while back, give or take a tricky bit in the middle.

Yeah, for me it's been exciting to scratch a nerd-itch to start to build out some systems that can help to do that. Being able to start to do this stuff from a box under my desk (again) is really exciting.
I'm definitely not there with finding the balance between 'we've got a thing coming out, please listen' and clearer editorial posts, but it's early doors :)
Speaking of #beyourownplatform and trying to get ORGANISED - I'm truly blown away by the awesome Open Source options out there for getting shit done.
It's time away from actually making music, but I'm convinced that the effort now is going to create quite a lot more time for doing that.
