Merry Pig-mas from all of us at Helping All Little Things!
Happy Hannukah from all of us at Helping All Little Things.
In rescue, we do a lot: clean wounds, give meds, monitor symptoms.
But one line must never be crossed:
🚫 Operating without a vet.
Working with a licensed veterinarian isn’t optional — it’s essential.
Every animal deserves proper care and diagnosis.

Next in our series about running a rescue - transparency isn’t optional.
When animals’ lives are at stake, the public deserves to know what’s going on. Transparency builds trust, prevents harm, and protects animals before it’s too late.
💬 It’s okay to ask questions. Ethical rescues will answer them.
Read why we believe transparency is foundational, not optional 👉 https://helpingalllittlethings.org/docs/rescue/transparency
We have a new series of resources, "So You Want to Run A Rescue," spotlighting a variety of important considerations when running a rescue. Today's post is about budgeting!
💡 “Do you have a plan for when things go sideways?”
Running a rescue means cuddles and compassion — but also spreadsheets and strategy. Our latest post pulls back the curtain on why budgeting is a form of care, and what every rescue should have in place before an emergency strikes.
I think guinea pigs always sound like little gossips when they’re chattering. What do you think your piggies gossip about? What do they say about you?
Thanks to all of our amazing supporters, we were able to hit our fundraising goal today and take advantage of the generous match! Mantis here says he’s very grateful for all of the care and kind words!
Don’t forget to get your t shirt honoring our lethal whites, Hero and Caper, by August 3 (Sunday).

Many parts of the world are experiencing a heat wave - here are our tips for keeping your small pets cool in the summer! 🧊🐹😎
I think we are going to wind up needing more x rays than anticipated. If you can help us with anything towards what looks to be some extensive vet care, please see our website for way to help. https://helpingalllittlethings.org/ Our vet visit is Tuesday and we aren't even close to what we need.
Hips that are not even a little right. They are bone thin and some hurt just by being touched. For now, I'm just going to set them up in their freshly made cage(s) with cozy beds and fresh food and hay, give them some pain meds and antibiotics and just love them as much as I can.
here are broken toes, swollen limbs, bite marks, some from head to toe, in their ears, ripped ears. It's bite marks on top of bite marks on top of scar tissue from old bite marks. Eye injuries. When I palpated their bellies, 2 of them definitely have abnormal things going inside.
Danni here. I'm going to photo dump all the pictures of the boys that I took. I don't have the heart to organize & describe the terrible things I'm seeing right now. As a rescuer, I see some pretty messed up things on a fairly regular basis but only 2 other cases have made me this emotional before
These new pigs are breaking our hearts. Look at Noir, sleeping in a cozy bed for what's probably the first time in his rough little life!
We have 2 amazing supporters who are offering to match up to $1000 by 2PM tomorrow, Tuesday, July 29. Please help us to take advantage of this incredibly generous offer, which will cover bringing the Monmouth pigs to the vet and getting all of their initial xrays and care.
Check out https://helpingalllittlethings.org/ or https://linktr.ee/haltrescue for all the ways to give.
