Im not ‘taking a nap’; it called a ‘siesta’ and it’s classy.

The punishment for listening to music on your phone without headphones in an airport should be at least 70 years of hard labor.

100% mathematically derived DeathStar on the #AcornAtom

Photo of my Acorn Atom and green screen CRT monitor showing a death star image, rendered by my own mathematical formulea.

@catsalad @cR0w and that’s why there are so many furries in IT? I’m frankly embarrassed it took this long for me to make the connection.

I’ve been saying ‘Tangk’ is Idles ‘OK Computer’
Turns out they were produced by the same guy, 27 years apart.

@theodric when I lived in Manhattan, I told people I lived on a small island just off the coast of the US.

Anbernic RG353V will only charge from a USB A to C cable 😑.
My worst case travel cable kit to keep all my things charged would be:
1) USB A charge brick
2) USB C charge brick
3) USB C - C cable for iPad & headphones
4) USB A - Lightning for iPhone
5) USB C - Lightning to charge phone from laptop, or other brick
6) USB A to micro to charge (admittedly old but still working USB battery)
7) USB A to iPod (‘cause I still rock an iPod for traveling)
8) USB A to C for anbernic, and possibly iPod charging from older USB sockets
9) FireWire cable, just for street cred

TIL you can run brew in docker on linux.
FOR GOD SAKES WHY?!?!
I can think of a pretty long list of creatively violent things I would let happen to my corporeal form before I subjected myself to that abject horror.

@arclight well I was dumb enough to play along and waste the last 3 hours letting brew compile stuff only to error out.
So I guess I just can't use python on this MacOS 12 machine.
F&%king. Brew.

@synx508 oh damn, I haven't that in years - solid track, thanks for the reminder!

"maybe I'll try to play with python today"

A film about robots and manufacturing? From the 70s? With DEC hardware and clunky early CAD? And wall-to-wall bangers? In this economy?

It's all you could ask for.

@duckyd I just can’t keep typing in 6 digit codes from my phone for the rest of my life.
I can’t even imagine what it’s going to be like in 20 years when I’ll be actually certifiably old and probably somehow even crotchetier.
I’d rather hoard gold in a safe in my house and do all my transactions in person.
You wanna identity theft me? Have at it. Link me with ISIS and ban me from the skies. I welcome it.

I’d say 3 - 5% of my time at work is spent clicking accept, dismissing notifications, and dealing with MFA bullshit.
Doing anything with modern computers and software has gotten so fucking dumb.

@alphabetter I used to use Vectorworks (formally miniCAD) for things most sane people would do in illustrator.
