As per national guidance, Thames Valley Police will not be naming the former British prince they have arrested.
This could be anyone. 🤷🏻♂️
Automated license plate readers are "a massive, warrantless digital dragnet that track everyone everywhere they go, regardless of whether they're suspected of any crime… painting an intimate portrait of a driver's life,” EFF’s @tsnvaa told @reason. https://reason.com/2026/02/18/was-it-a-coincidental-traffic-stop-or-ai-powered-surveillance/
On this day in 1923, the U.S. Supreme Court *unanimously* decided that people of South Asian descent could not be American citizens, and retroactively stripped citizenship from many who had already been naturalized. Years of organized persecution followed. https://www.saada.org/explore/publications/tides/articles/united-states-of-america-vs-vaishno-das-bagai
Patriarchy> you need to change your name when you get married.
Also patriarchy> if you changed your name for any reason we are going to make it difficult for you to vote.
AP characterizes a large banner featuring Trump’s face on the exterior of DoJ headquarters today as “a physical display of the Republican president’s efforts to exert power over the law enforcement agency that once investigated him” and “a striking symbol of the erosion of the department’s tradition of independence from White House control.”
You always see a certain paragraph quoted from Audre Lorde’s “Master’s Tools” essay, but a more salient quote would be the one that better identifies the actual point of the essay.
“Women of today are still being called upon to stretch across the gap of male ignorance and to educated men as to our existence and our needs. This is an old and primary tool of all oppressors to keep the oppressed occupied with the master’s concerns. Now we hear that it is the task of women of Color to educate white women—in the face of tremendous resistance—as to our existence, our differences, our relative roles in our joint survival. This is a diversion of energies and a tragic repetition of racist patriarchal thought.”
I wish Virginia could have been alive to see him arrested.
That's all.

Day 1857: "Bad things will happen."
@stevej I would like an opportunity to tell this guy to his face, "You first, buddy." Probably never did a lick of physical labor in his life.
Billionaires Gone Wild
The number of U.S. #billionaires rose 85 percent between 2010 and 2023, from 404 to 748. But billionaires’ share of political contributions rose by 1700 percent.
We are in the midst of an unprecedented power grab by America’s oligarchs. This power grab is arguably the most important fact about contemporary U.S. politics. In many ways #MAGA is just a symptom.
Not a gift from the geeks. A gift from the grifters
If video games have taught me anything, rotating these will unlock the next room ...
Here's hoping that Andrew allocutes regarding his co-defendants.
He'd be the perfect flipper, as Trump calls them.
It's time this cartel of billionaire child rapists was wrapped up.
Note that Andrew is not currently being investigated for crimes of sexual assault or abuse. “… the allegation is that he shared with Epstein confidential government information that he had access to because he was a UK trade envoy.”
A Stop On The Underground Railroad Has Been Discovered Hidden Inside New York’s Historic Merchant’s House
By Cara Johnson
"The Merchant's House Museum in Manhattan was built by abolitionist Joseph Brewster in 1832 — and a secret passage behind its walls now appears to have been a stop on the Underground Railroad."

You know there are recordings out there somewhere documenting what CBS did to Colbert about his interview with Talarico. Colbert went public because he has receipts.
Brendan Carr is too stupid to grasp this, and too stupid to realize the public knows equal time hasn't existed for decades.
By all means, let's have equal time. I can't wait for Fox News, OANN, and Newsmax to be forced to give equal time to the left.

CBS lawyers told Colbert he couldn't interview a Senate candidate. Couldn't show a photo. Couldn't show a drawing. Couldn't tell the audience it was happening. Based on an FCC rule that hasn't actually been changed. New piece on what CBS has become. www.readtpa.com/p/cbs-doesnt...
