@gkrnours 🤡
lol its still so stupid that ppl in the tech industry didn't want to unionize when they had all the power
the thing is, this is not far off from some of the search engine "corrections" i've been getting lately (of things that actually weren't wrong, just not what the search engine 'expected')
god sundays suck so bad when you work a job with weekend shifts
'you typed in mastadon.social! that url doesn't seem to exist, sending you to bluesky.com instead'
i can't wait for browsers to start implementing 'fuzzy' urls
i swear to god they move the copilot setting every time i have to use Edge
AI becoming popular in part bc companies are exploiting properties of human brains is actually completely in line with the fact that they've also been turning the dial on our gambling addictions for the past couple of decades
i love breasts
uh wow. maybe its bc i was playing on a switch before, but i didn't realize that not only was gwynevere big, but she was also... very lovingly animated
eventually just went offline bc i was tired of dealing with it. i don't even mind invasions normally! but this was just frustrating, not fun
just beat ornstein & smough and honestly? while the boss fight itself was frustrating, what was even more frustrating was getting invaded by dudes twice my level EVERY TIME I TRIED TO GO HUMAN
@amorphophalex we've been talking about this at work and i think that's exactly the mindset? people wanting and expecting things to be instant and effortless
@amorphophalex honestly the fact that they don't understand technology is probably WHY they like AI
cause if it doesn’t, this all just gets normalized bc ppl want to cling to the things they still have rather than risk something better (or they know that their current position means, on balance, if things get better for others it’ll get worse for them)
i feel like one of my points of disconnect is that when i talk about crumbling institutions and widespread corruption undermining society, most ppl listening are going “oh god what if society collapses” and i’m going “oh god what it doesnt”
I once saw a photograph of graffiti in Japan near a subway and it read (translated):
"We can't go back to normal, because the normal we had was precisely the problem."
That was in 2020, during the early days of the pandemic, and the lockdowns.
I think about that a lot.
