@roadside back when we knew how to colour stuff
I occasionally help an elderly neighbor get stuff done with their computer. And every single time, I walk away in incandescent rage at how hard we have made this stuff for people who have not spent their entire waking lives marinating in it
Good morning, @fauli1221. o/

@niko I had so much trouble putting it up on my site because I kept having to test things and just wound up playing the game. :p
@IHG Nice work! 😃
If anyone plays it, let me know what you think! It's not particularly original, but I think it's a nice take on the game. ☺
There, got the new game up at https://ddr0.ca/boloball/

Like, the problem is; IRC's still there, but all the reasons we quit using IRC are still there too.
@HaruEb I use HexChat, when I use it at all.
I'm starting a new "build thread" (not building anything except pixels, but they're good pixels).
This is the "Bubble Universe" graphics hack. I'm going to try to have some fun with it. Follow or ignore hashtag #BubbleUniverse for more.

I’ve been thinking about this for days. Incredible stochastic algorithm, gets more reliable the larger your input, incredibly fast, trivial to implement and deterministic on its inputs. It really has so much going for it.

I cannot tell you how much I love that the process of

For #silentSunday I'm sharing a hidden signature I found today inside the plasterboard panelling of the partition wall in our house that I just demolished. It reads, 'January 1960 A Smith' (I think).
A silent nod from 66 years ago! 😮

Well I had a fun day today!
These are unaltered direct photos (other than mirroring) of a CED and a Laserdisc where using diffraction grating I was able to VISIBLY SEE video physically encoded on the disc!
I will be editing a video about this process but also did a quick write up about it on my wiki here with the direct sample images:
@brianvastag It'll be a repeat of them getting their asses handed to them by the Japenese automakers in the... 80s?

By default now with frame pointers, lbr or dwarf the inline functions are shown. The libdw improvements should greatly speed dwarf unwinding and inline information. The support is also cross platform.
After 2 years of pushing a set of standard metrics primarily for AMD and Intel were merged. To make them obvious the metrics all begin with lpm_.
There were lots of other bug fixes and improvements.
