Is this blatant racism by Trump really not going to be a big story in the mainstream media?

Really?

Got the new part installed on the heli, can't wait to take it up today for a little test!!

A side by side picture of two Jesus nuts for a helicopter. One is rusted the other is 3D printed. The caption reads, "This bolt on my helicopter rotor is rusted out. Robinson wanted $1,590 for a new one. I was able to 3D print my own for pennies. Companies can't scam consumers anymore."

I don't know where this ends, but a run on a thing with no fundamental value has no natural floor > zero. It's not currency, it's not a store of value, it's just a speculative thing that survives only as long as someone wants it. Eventually, it's a beanie baby. nytimes.com/2026/02/05/technol

Title : An Al chat-assist created and offered a customer an 80% off offer. Customer has now placed an order of ÂŁ8,000+

"Small business in England.

Website has a chat Al to help customers navigate the website and it can be used to log orders/take contact details from customers.

A customer was chatting with it and managed to convince the Al to give them a 25% discount, then he negotiated with the Al up to an 80% discount.

He then placed an order for thousands of pounds worth of stuff. Like, I'm going to be losing thousands on my material costs alone.

I've written to my customer to cancel it and they responded that they will be taking me to small claims court if I fail to honour the order. They've given me 3 days to respond.

Can I ignore this?"Reply : Gulbasaur.

"Cancel the order, refund anything in full and don't let a chatbot make financial decisions for you."

Reply by original poster:

"Already refunded.

Chatbot isn't supposed to be making financial decisions. It's supposed to be answering customer questions between 6pm and 9am when I'm not around.

It's worked fine for 6+ months, then this guy spent an hour chatting with it, talked it into showing how good it was at maths and percentages, diverted the conversation to percentage discounts off a theoretical order, then acted impressed by it.

The chatbot then generated him a completely fake discount code and an offer for 25% off, later rising to 80% off as it tried to impress him."

Billionaires should be reclassified as potentially harmful substances, allocated their own little triangle warning symbol, and be regulated accordingly.

We never used the term "cake batter" when I was a kid, we said "cake mix." When I first heard cake batter, in my early 20s, I assumed someone took a slice of cake, dipped it in batter and deep fried it. As I'm Scottish I don't think this is completely unreasonable.

I recently saw someone leave fedi at least temporarily as a result of harassment, and one thing they highlighted was that most of us don't see the harassment they were getting because of how federation works and the fact that our instances block all the vile ones most of the harassment was coming from.

They were running their own single-user instance. 🙁

We really need better resources for single user instances to benefit from third-party moderation resources, but we also need to get the narrative out that running a single user instance is a horrible idea unless you want to be your own fulltime moderator or drowned in engagement from the worst parts of the net. Treating it as a viable option now really sours folks to the whole concept.

Today, the Commission has preliminarily found TikTok in breach of the DSA, for its addictive design.

This includes features such as infinite scroll, autoplay, push notifications, and its highly personalised recommender system.

TikTok seems to fail to implement reasonable, proportionate and effective measures to mitigate risks stemming from its addictive design.

At this stage, the Commission considers that TikTok needs to change the basic design of its service.

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez of Spain:

“First, we will change the law in Spain to hold platform executives legally accountable for many infringements taking place on their sites. This means that CEOs of these tech platforms will face criminal liability [

Second, we will turn algorithmic manipulation and amplification of illegal content into a new criminal offense. [

Elon Musk believes Christopher "Nolan has lost his integrity" by casting a talented black woman to play Helen of Troy.

In the fascist world competence does not matter. You can be the best actor in history, but they will not care, because everything is about compliance.

They define what compliant is, and evidently to Musk, being black is noncompliant.

But here is some news for you: Christopher Nolan did not cast a failed businessman to play president of the USA.

Musk did.

Australia explained for Americans

Creator: unknown

This humorous map titled “Australia explained for Americans” reimagines the geography of Australia by overlaying the names of U.S. states onto its regions to create a playful, culturally relatable comparison for American audiences: Western Australia is labeled “Texas,” the Northern Territory is “Florida,” Queensland is “Alabama,” New South Wales is “California,” Victoria is “New York,” Tasmania is “Oregon,” South Australia is “Ohio, Idaho, and Iowa,” the Australian Capital Territory is “New Mexico,” and a small coastal region near Sydney is humorously dubbed “New Jersey,” while a sliver of land on the eastern coast is labeled “Louisiana”; each state name is color-coded and positioned roughly according to the relative size and shape of the corresponding Australian region, using bold, simple text and bright, distinct colors to emphasize the satirical analogy between the vast, sparsely populated landscapes of Australia and familiar U.S. states, with no data sources or scale provided, clearly intended as lighthearted cultural commentary rather than a factual geographic representation.
