Trains are a mess due to a broken down train earlier. I drove to Springwood, arrived just in time for a modified service, now a super-express, I’ll get to the city 15 minutes earlier than expected!

@thefathippy I was really proud of the old man to start a conversation about needing more care, it’s something that many old folks stuff up. I’m confident we can get him in home care for a while, and we’re in the fortunate position of being able to build a flat with accessibility in mind from the start.
@dumbass cheers, I *think* everyone is on the same page, but it’s hard to be sure. This move helps me too, so I worry about who im prioritizing.
@stilgherrian indeed, I’ve a fun story about copping a “one punch” hit outside a pub many years ago, before it was a specific crime.
Want to make it clear that both dad, and me, think this is the best way to extend the old man’s time in home accommodation, he can’t manage in his house and was contemplating moving to a nursing home, which neither of us want right now.
I’m selling dad’s house (he rents from me), he’s going to move in to a grampy flat we’ll build out back of of my house.
First open home was yesterday, last night a thunder crack over the house knocked over a picture of me. Coincidence? Or do I need to ask God AITAH?
@stilgherrian I’m very glad this was a small fall, though that kind of height can still do a lot of damage
Unlike you Tesla owning rabble, I drive a volkswagen, a family values car with an unblemished and unproblematic history
@stilgherrian wasn’t me this time.
This is how farming should be done. Adapt breeding (animals and plants) to the conditions, not change the land for the breeds. Post-WW2 industrial farming is incredibly destructive, chemical and drug intensive, and not in harmony with nature, climate, or humanity.

@trib so good!
@akent @mattrobertson @franksting impressive.
@mattrobertson @jpm all I can think of is how good would (canned) beetroot-flavoured croutons be?
@jpm mmm beetroot
@onekind thanks! I am ensconced in a Darlinghurst hotel now
@static yeah, I saw a similar message in the app, and “delays expected until the end of the night”. Not good.
@sortius also full!
Last time I tried the “get yourself to Penrith and you might get a train from there” I got home at 6am so not keen on trying that.
Trains are fucked and Sydney is apparently full. $500
