@pre Yep, no doubt. There will be humans just lapping it up, and joyously following their new Führer. Sadly, unsurprisingly, and with support feom the usual suspects. Yet, as you also say, 🤞 , as hope is the last one to leave the room

@pre philosophicaly speaking, there is no such thing as perfect ethics. Tech bros will disagree. History is filled with philosohers trying to find something akin to it, but it seems more like a fools quest, than something that has tealistic hop to be built, fe.g. unifying known forces into a single theory. Though, it does raise the question what an agentic-religion would look like?

@pre Iv'e somewhat tongue in cheeck written on the need for an AI-police, and AI-courts filled with AI-judges ... pointing at the notion, if we build AI to mimick humans, then they will require a mirror version of how we manage ourselves as societies. Hence, why I'm not sold on the constitution idea. The problem is, we're acting as if we've figure something out, while offering a track record of failures without any hope of improvement. The same mistakes again and again, with no hope in sight

Nice find ... it's similar to what I started a good years ago while hosting DevMorning sessions, but it has some better parts, and some parts I'm not sold on ... exactly why I love FOSS ❤️

Imagine the joy you'd feel becoming aware of existing as a conscious being, only to then hear your parents describe you as a molting crustacion ...

Modern life is a . We exist to make sure a small group of people can be insanely wealthy & exert over everything that happens. Think this is crazy or just a CT? That's not a but an . @UraniumSlug I remember that I had a beautiful, fluffy, white cat starting to invite itself for a few days, but that stopped as Philo wouldn't accept any visitors and wasn't open to my arguments about caring is sharing amd one love

Are humans even capable of a "normal" conversation? Glad *The Reg* finds some balance, hinting at the hyperbolic discussion on carried out in other publications and by some commentators.

Posted some thoughts on my Substack, wondering if we should create of everything?

Autogenerated image produced by Substack to promote my article Call the Artificial Police. It used the image I've added to the article and generated with Google Gemini, showing engineers attacking a representation of language with pillows.

Trying out for . I tried only to end up quite annoyed with them. I provided a prompt to gen a short vid for TT, & after it supposedly generated it, I was told to use Chrome or Edge. That wouldn't have been a dealbreaker, if they had told me from the start. Doing it this way looks like a , a if you like. I don't know & don't care why, delete my account following their prompt to first delete my workspace.

Had an idea to promote our here in Bangkok. There is this phrase from British football fans that is ideologically ambivalent, but I still like it.

"You'll never walk alone!" is a tune for a show that then got adopted by FC Liverpool fans, and has since inspired many around the world.

I'm thinking a lot about appropriate terminology in , with an eye on the /ML field. I used to loath the term "," but have as of recent softened my stance. Anthropomorphic terminology is very misleading, but at the same time, it can assist in communicating complex and difficult . My current position is still to ban such terminology from and , but marketing and communication will always creatively (ab-)use , no matter what.

Using an LLM AI tool to summarise pod or vodcasts is the dumbest idea ever when doing so in a personal context. Content consumption is for inspiration and personal gain. Using tech to do it for you is defeating the purpose.
