Shaye and Annie were part of the historic 2015 NDP victory for Rachel Notley in Alberta, overcoming a 40+ year PC dynasty.

Shaye served as Minister of Municipal Affairs and Annie as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Education. Their government raised the minimum wage to what was then the highest in Canada, made it easier for workers to form a union, and took big money out of provincial politics.

They understand that for the federal NDP to win again, we need bold ideas that can inspire people in Alberta and across the country — including a plan that supports workers with good, stable jobs building the renewable energy of the future and getting off the boom and bust cycle of the fossil fuel economy.

I’m proud to have the support of these former MLAs who made life better for all Albertans.
