@HG Mentioning shaving off your eyebrows means I have to send you Endless Boogie’s “Back In ‘74”. I don’t make the rules. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5-xIfubiuY

@Defiance @crumbleneedy Thanks for hipping me to both of these. Another "Girl U Want" for your delectation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BDLO5269Lk&list=RD5BDLO5269Lk&start_radio=1 (random fact: this was the first MP3 I ever downloaded)
@theoldhollywood Not familiar with this actor at all, but I'd bet 10 bucks that there's a body floating in that pool in an episode of Columbo. :-)
@simoncampbell I used to use Vinci's on my acoustic 12-string and I still miss them.
@fugazetteer He kept singing but you could tell it really hurt. When the song was over he said, in the way that only he can: "IFYOUHAVETOGETONTHEFUCKINGSTAGEDONTKNOCKTHEFUCKINGMICROPHONEINTOMYFUCKINGMOUTH!!!!" Then he took a breath and repeated, very slowly and calmly "If you have to get...on the fucking stage...don't knock...the fucking microphone...into my fucking mouth." Felt bad for him, but also a hilarious response. 2/2
@fugazetteer I did think of a thing that happened at this show: https://dischord.com/fugazi_live_series/baltimore-md-usa-21190 (from memory without checking the recording)...the "stage" was just one step up (six inches or so) but people were still trying to "stage dive". One of these people managed to hit Ian's mic stand and the mic hit him really hard in the mouth. 1/
@agiletortoise So sorry to hear--wishing the best for your friends.
@samvarma @tpherndon I'm interested in measuring latency...what's your bassist got?
@TheVinylApe Growing up, when my dad put Jr Walker & the All Stars Greatest Hits on, it was going to be a party. Can’t help but feel great any time this (the lead track) comes on.
@eyesquash Cool! I knew some of his non-Cars stuff, but not this one. BTW, is the t-shirt from or a reference to Summit Point WV, i.e. the racetrack? Used to go there when I was a kid.
Things I say to a cat: you can't just bite butts to make friends
Y'all, the number of notifications I get for EVERY. SINGLE. THING. I. DO is not okay.
Haircut? 6 reminders, sprinkled between phone, text, and email. Ordered a thing from Costco? 3 reminders before, 2-3 after. Doctor's visit? I can't even count that high.
I am a grown-ass woman. I have a calendar. I keep my own counsel. Leave. Me. TheFuck. Alone.
@samvarma @maggiespeaksband I only know them from the radio back then, but I knew _EVERY_ONE_ of the songs you featured and if I hadn't known would have just assumed it was the original record playing. Well done on your and the band's parts! (Oh, and quote post works :-)
@Theblueone Made me think of Adrian Belew's "Twang Bar Kind" era Mustangs that had some Mondrian-ish art (taken from the album art, IIRC).
@mactanaka Thanks!
@mactanaka Is there a way to turn it off?
Thanks to @buffyleigh reminding me that the late, great Catherine O’Hara (who I’ll always remember as one of three “lovely Lemon Twins”) voiced Sally in The Nightmare Before Christmas, I give you the Off/No version of “Sally’s Song”. RIP https://offno.bandcamp.com/track/sallys-song
@Theblueone Recovered wood, obviously—any idea the story behind it? (Oh and very cool! :-)
@fugazetteer A little less impressive if you know I lived in DC. :-) So many memorable moments-a lot of times it was hearing a new song for the first time, even before it was recorded. Other times it would be the surrounding events (seeing them the week the Gulf War started), other times it would be some particularly weird/funny audience interaction. I'd say only a handful weren't memorable for some reason. I've been thinking about this question the past few days and that's the best I can do :-)
