NO TLDR. Probably should have been a diary entry. LOL.

I've been cleaning up my digital life in bits and pieces as well as re-learning to spend less time on the PC and/or being more intentional with HOW I spend time while on the PC.

Removing reoccurring digital distractions will take some time, but simple things like eating meals without digital distractions (other than cozy idle YouTube videos with calming music) has been great for my mental health, mental clarity and productivity. Even the small wins with reoccurring digital are making a difference.

Loving the new direction of my daily regimen. 1-2 hours less on the PC per day is a win in my book. It creates such a calming effect for me and I feel like my anxiety is reduced. Plus, even though I haven't been able to join her due to sprained ankle, my dog is on a better for both of us when my ankle heals schedule. More movement for me since before my injury nearly two weeks ago.

Another digital win was cleaning up decades of Facebook groups. Went from over 200 to under 30.

Also being more intentional with Twitch viewing, chatting and subscriptions.

Touch grass folks. Thanks for coming to my MastoTalk.

@thecrushedviolet My native language is German, and I find it hard to understand English Bluey.

@gary_bbgames I agree that a lot will change, especially on the low tier with throwaway phone apps that are a dime a dozen in the stores.
High tier Software Development (of which roughly 10% are about writing actual code) will change drastically as well, but IMO will see much less acceleration. When the stakes are more than "not enough ads being displayed", like "we just nuked a HFT system", unsupervised vibe-development won't cut it.
Those development environment will change as well, and we'll need to adjust to that, but where responsibility for a system is important, thousands of vibe-coded slocs won't be vibe-deployed either.

@memoriesin8bit There's been a deliberate market drain in that front. I've scoured the makemkv forums once and found a post explaining how the companies with the people with the knowledge on making lasers for optical drives were deliberately bought up and closed. No more development on consumer optical drives, the market seems to have been deliberately dried up.

@Sobtanian Usually happens to me after completing a really good game, or a game that made a lasting impression on me.
Includes, but not limited to, Expedition 33, The Last of Us, Pacific Drive and others.

@Gnattervid Maybe ask the foodbank you want to support? They usually have lists.

@Gnattervid Ooh, cool! Don't have my phone handy, but will check it out later :)

@Gnattervid fediverse, the network of Mastodon/Pixelfed/other ActivityPub software that mstdn.games is part of.

@Gnattervid Let me be "that guy": Where's the fedi link? :)

Looking good otherwise!

@Bluewall It really did not, but for me the nostalgia is strong. Squeenix did announce a remaster just a day or so ago, though. Lowkey just a little bit excited for that.

@Dunstable Just one, two if you count a translation mistake 😅

@GamingWolf I tried, but couldn't even get a Hello World program going.

@Bluewall I agree with 3.

Final Fantasy titles on GOG? Don't mind if I do! <sound of purchase>
