@marcel Oh, my mistake. 😅 Nevermind then. 😊
Hey, I'm a #designer & #developer from Germany. I like the open-source spirit and am dipping my toes into decentralisation. I've also always had a knack for #creativeWriting, so that's something I like doing in my time off. Nice to meet you! 😁
@marcel Oh, my mistake. 😅 Nevermind then. 😊
@marcel Wait you make sketches for your sketchbook? 😅
Agreed that they are both awesome though. 👌😊
@stephann I love that you included the wrapping, too many clones don’t. 😊

Just finished reading “The Sovereign” by C. L. Clark and maybe it’s the weird state of mind I find myself in right now, but this final book in the series felt so empty.
The characters were all over the place and I found their decisions so flitting and pointless. It feels like the whole drama of the book could’ve been avoided if they hadn’t acted so childishly.
3/10, there were few redeeming moments, but there were some at least.
@hejchristian I know, right? A colleague told me about it a couple days ago when it still had its original name, I took one peek at the website and it seemed like one huge grift. Now it’s everywhere and hailed as some sort of grubby clawed breakthrough? 🙃
Maybe I’m getting too old for this stuff. 😅
@hejchristian Yeah I get having an Account on both and do myself precisely because sadly not everyone is on Mastodon. 😊
Personally, I really don’t like the Bluesky experience, the app is so barebones and it feels like everything you do is recorded. 😅 But I’m glad you have such a positive experience there!
@hejchristian Hmm, I guess personally, I don’t feel a need to be pedant on multiple platforms, so I chose the most interoperable one as my outlet. 🤔
But I’m sure there’s reasons to be active on both!
@hejchristian I don’t interact with posts on Bluesky, period. I only follow people there if I really want to keep up with them and they’re not on the Fedi. 😅
@hejchristian @db Yeah, that's something I'm not too excited about, either. 😅 Plus, their pricing strategy seems a little off to me, but it’s early days and I guess only time will tell…since it’s FOSS at least one could self-host it in the worst case. 🤔
@db Oh, I see! 😊 Personally, I give Penpot a shot every now and then, but unfortunately it’s not quite there yet for my use-case.
I’m especially curious about their new rendering engine and their Variables / Tokens system is far more advanced than Figma’s, so that’s a real draw. 👌
Not being able to set stroke caps and corner styles, not so much, if you’re trying to draw icons with it. 😅
Hope it’ll be a great fit for you!
@db Any new enshittification I haven’t heard about yet? 😱
Or just because it’s the right thing to do? 😅
@fayden Thanks! Really cool. 😊
@fayden What app is that? 🤔
@dominikhofer Congrats on the launch. 🎉 I really like this social feed idea, well done!
Quick question to anyone interested in / running web #analytics —do you care what browser / device type visits a *specific path* on the website or would you be fine only knowing the totals for the entire website? 🤔
@tommi Maybe someone mentioned it already, but have you heard about GoAccess? (https://goaccess.io/)
@db I’d say probably 50% DOM and Style inspector, 40% Console, 5% Network Tab and 5% the rest of the tabs like Storage, Animations, Render Settings, etc. 🤔
@alex Hi Alex! Sorry to hear you got hit, too. I’m glad you were able to react quickly as well.
I have tried GoatCounter in the past, it wasn’t for me, but thankfully there’s a broad range of options out there. 😊 I’m absolutely with you on the whole low-maintenance front!
Sometimes I get nostalgic for the days when I could just fire up my code editor of choice and things would just work. Yeah, maybe the autocompletion wasn’t as sophisticated and I’d have to remember to manually import some files, but that’s a million times better than all these LSPs and integrations and plugins breaking with every update. Of which there are far too many. 😩
What happened to reducing complexity?
