@cabbey thanks for sharing
Alright y'all, I'm gonna be at @cascadia given a talk and a keynote! We are gonna talk about the current state of our community and hopefully inspire some people to get involved!
Then Im gonna talk about HTTP verbs and code and headers and all that jazz.
Come hang out with me!
Now that the schedule is live, I'm excited to announce that I'll be giving two talks next month @cascadia! #CascadiaPHP #ValueObjects #Documentation #Conferences
The @cascadia schedule is up! Check it out and make plans to be in Portland October 24-26. See you there!

See you there?
@ericmann @cascadia just sent it out for speaker review, but I'll have it on the website Saturday :) https://joind.in/event/cascadiaphp-2024/schedule/grid
@grmpyprogrammer @cascadia it's also about topics of talks. People probably don't want to see every other slot filled with testing talks, but we definitely want SOME testing talks. So we need to be prepared for WHICH talks may not be a go.
Having just spent A LOT of time putting together the best possible schedule for the @cascadia attendees, I apparently have a lot to say :)
@grmpyprogrammer @cascadia As a schedule creator, we want to have a few "possible" talks in the genuine chance that not everyone accepts. Sometimes, things come up, and you can no longer attend. That's life, but to be respectful to all those who took their time to submit, we don't want to send a rejection and then say, "Sorry, we really meant to accept." We also would like to be the first to let people know that their talk was rejected and sometimes it takes a few days to get those out.
@grmpyprogrammer @cascadia BANNED!
kidding!!!
As a reference for those who are wondering, most acceptance emails state something like, "Please hold off on announcing your speaking position until we begin announcing speakers; this gives us a chance to reach out to the speakers that didn't make the cut!".
@grmpyprogrammer 🎉 welcome home 🎉
