Better yet, overthrow capitalism! Worker control of the means of Production! Abolish billionaires, as well as bosses, landlords, priests and kings.
Sad fact is that even at $27/hr, things would still be really tough in many cities because of inflation, and all the price gouging by corporations, insurance companies and landlords. But a higher minimum wage does tend to drive up wages for other workers. And that would help, as an interim reform.
