Was watching Arcade Fire concerts this afternoon to cheer up. They're the only band always guaranteed to make me cry at some point.

Watching a video recording of a Mogwai concert in Germany. I really like them, but I do have a soft spot for musicians and writers from Glasgow. First time I've watched them play and listened. Idly wondering if I'm the only audience member who didn't smoke weed first.

Had a follow-up appointment with my doctor. I’m recovering from pneumonia, not quite a month out. My sleep is wild, endless daytime naps followed by nighttime squirrels keeping me up. I’ve lost 18lbs.

Tried playing a little music, maybe the first time this year? I never seem to have any rhythm when I’m sick.

Drove my car for the first time this year! To and from the dentist, alas. I’m old enough that my eldest crowns are failing. This one was installed in my twenties, way back when people wore bell-bottoms.

Heard an ICE ad on the oldies station they play. Super-creepy. My dentist is Hispanic, but he’s probably too busy to notice.
