Nearly missed it but happy ! What better day than to share a photo of a rather gay swamp! On brand for me.

🚨PhD opportunities 🚨please check out these two PhD opportunities I have available at the moment 1) looking at understanding wet woodland carbon dynamics under a changing climate and 2) assessing co-benefits of natural flood management interventions

Details can be found at the links on my website here: sjdavidsonecology.com/blog/

@bmatb I do get frustrated when North American colleagues don’t understand I’m an Assistant Professor with just a different title. Some definitely look down upon the term ‘Lecturer’. My institution uses Associate Professor for the next stage so maybe I just need to get promoted!

Hi folks, if you are interested in #peatlands and particularly their #hydrology, feel free to check out our joint PhD student Linda Toca's new paper on a lab study to test the validity of using C-band SAR backscatter to detect water level and #soilmoisture. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10

@bmatb Hullo! I’m a gay/queer wetland scientist from Scotland but based in England. My research focuses on wetland and peatland resilience to change (climatic and anthropogenic). Big into creative and movies! Will try and use to share peatland research here (I created and would be good to keep that good thing going!)
