Oh thanks, I thought it looked bigger than the Alubox I've seen photos of. I'm still working out what is the best cargo system for our Bullitt.

To have more people travel by bicycle, focusing on individual choice doesn't increase the numbers of people very much.
Cycling can't be seen as risky or athletic.
Cycling needs to be possible in normal clothes.
Cycling can't be seen as something for affluent or poor.
Cities must take responsibility for reduce conflict with car drivers.
Cities must not force cyclists to make risky & illegal choices to stay safe.

Also dynamo hub is a game-changer. They're rare here in Canada, but when you add up all the time wasting hassle of charging lights, dynamo setup will pay for itself.

5.3 metres – the degree of sea level rise now unavoidable from West Antarctic Ice Sheet melting ALONE – is sufficient to entirely submerge most of urban Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, and an enormous area of southern Iraq (Qatar gets off surprisingly lightly).

When you think you know 20th-century #energy history fairly well, and then @sugandhasri digs up the story of Canadian inventor George Cove, who invented 'modern' solar panels in 1905: "Then, on 19 October 1909, Cove was kidnapped. The condition for his release required forgoing his solar patent and shutting down the company."

Well, that's a new one. I'm on a train to Carlisle which has been stuck at Preston for a while (after a load of people got on here), and was already overcrowded because the train before it was cancelled. They’ve just announced that the train is overcrowded and they will not let the train move until some people leave the train. So now everyone is looking at everyone else, wondering who is going to move.

WHY are we underfunding railways to the point where this is even an option?
