@therealprocyon @stux En welke taal zou die dan heden ten dagen spreken? Nu noemde je Duitsland en Oostenrijk, dus Duits? Die word op school al gegeven. Maar Spaans nog steeds niet. Ook geen Italiaans, waar ook een keizer uit het Heilige Roomse Rijk vandaan kwam. Het blijft lastig te snappen hoe er maar aan drie van de Europese talen aandacht word geschonken in het middelbaar onderwijs. Zgn. polyglotten creëer je door een zo'n breed mogelijk scala aan talen aan te bieden. Gemiste kans.

@stux Je zou toch denken met de tekst van het Wilhelmus "Een Prinse van Oranje ben ik, vrij, onverveerd, den Koning van Hispanje heb ik altijd geëerd." dat er meer zou worden ingezet om ook Spaans te leren op scholen ipv alleen Duits, Engels, en Frans...

@bert_hubert Amerikkka bouwt concentratiekampen en de Nederlandse Spoorwegen zetten doodleuk hun gegevens over naar Amerikaanse systemen. Het is nou net alsof de geschiedenis zich herhaalt. De nazis en treinen zijn toch onlosmakelijk met elkaar verbonden.

@elektra The poem is about two people finding one another under the strangest of circumstances and then deciding to spend the rest of their life together.

It's technically more complicated than I usually write, as it uses "aab ccb" rhyming scheme, has "6,6,10 6,6,10" syllables, and ended up being 24 stanzas, but it was a fun challenge to do nonetheless.

Today was an unhealthy food day. It's allowed every now and again. Unfortunately it left me with somewhat of an upset stomach.

I spent a lovely time with grandparents, which brought me joy. Family is important.

Valentine's Day weekend should see a release of a poem which has been received well by proofreaders. I'm hoping it will see some good reviews and view numbers once I put it online for all to read.
