Regardless whether this specific email is true, and proof positive of participation, Chomsky remained friends with Epstein to the end. If nothing else, he knew of the 2008 conviction.

"...the underlying issue with the persistence of sexual violence isn’t exactly women’s credibility, as the 'believe women' slogan suggested, but rather with rape’s moral status. It’s not that people think it doesn’t happen. They think it doesn’t matter."

I warned people about Chomsky some time ago. I guess it’s good that some more are catching on. Better late than never.

Every time Trump does something else horrific, I see people sharing the content on social media and asking what more it could possibly take for his supporters to abandon him. “Surely this must be the breaking point, right?”

Today it is the disgusting racist caricature of the Obamas, last week it was evidence of Trump's horrific crimes from the Epstein files, and next week it will be some fresh new display of evil.

I think it speaks to the sincere empathy of those who earnestly inquire if this newest development is finally the tipping point, if this latest demonstration of criminality, racism, pedophilia, or corruption is enough, because they imagine that if only Trump supporters could see how hateful he is, then they would abandon him.

The trouble is that his supporters already know all these things...and they love him all the more for them.

Save yourself the effort. They do not care.

Something has absolutely rotted the minds and consciences of a significant portion of the population, and that thing is sheer, unadulterated hatred. They don't care if they are suffering as long as someone they hate is suffering more.

There’s not a moment coming that’s going to turn them around.

The American political news media needs to be completely destroyed and rebuilt from scratch.

Democrats were constantly told that it was out of touch to accurately describe the Biden economy as good, sometimes from people allegedly on the left.

Then Trump was allowed to swoop in and just say "I will make everything better on day one" without any pushback at all from the media or almost anyone else.

And now, reality. The Biden economy was good. This one isn’t.

People pointing out how Dearborn or “never Kamala” people voted (or didn’t) aren’t saying “they deserve this.” They’re saying: “you don’t get perfect choices in elections. If you cling to the (obviously false) idea of the high ground of ‘both are bad,’ then decisions get made without you—and the outcome is usually the worst option.”

This goes for many other issues as well.

@TonyStark The "never Kamala" people didn't hurt the former vice president. She may not be president but all but two (three? I don't or care where Barron lives) American citizens don't live in the White House and Harris is still an upper class American citizen who lives in California. Those voters hurt a bunch of regular people without regard to whether they are citizens or not, documented or not.

@TonyStark

As flawed as media was in the past, it still managed to inform. We've lost that, it is utterly corrupted. That's one place to start.

@TonyStark Texans didn’t even vote on this.

California? We voted. Specifically to counteract what Texas did. The language is pretty brilliant actually.

Prop 50 won by such a huge margin I think it’s got the gerrymanderers a lil twitchy 🙂

It's hilarious to see Republicans losing their shit for Democratic-led states doing exactly what Texas did.

They're upset because Democrats are fighting back, because the default expectation for Republicans is they get to wreck things and Dems have to play by the rules.

I legitimately not only remember people deadass telling us “you’re overreacting” about the danger of Trump being elected again, but I can read the old posts.

Yeah. we were not.

I heard "both sides are the same" as an excuse and that it was stupid to "trust any politician" as another.

It all lead to the same outcome of Trump being elected.

Don’t let your country be overrun by social media bots and morons.

So if you continue to go on about how both parties are the same, I will continue to tell you you’re a non-useful idiot.

The strategy of giving Trump and Republicans total control of the government and hoping Democrats would clean up the mess later was a poor strategy, for whoever decided to encourage that.

Democrats blocked this rotten Republican bill (and got some Republican House members to join them) designed to allow employers to not pay overtime to workers if they classified work hours as “education” or “training.”

People keep saying that Democrats need to be doing stuff like this but I don’t see any of them talking about it. Maybe those people should pay more attention.
