I'm unsure exactly what you mean by 'a burn out' but I had to retire from work because of severe depression which led to massive anxiety attacks.
I was being given work I didn't know how to do, with no training or support.
This was about 15 years ago.
I don't know if this is similar to your situation.
•I used exercise a lot - cycling which I'd always done, but I was also recommended to try Tai Chi which is a mind-body thing (which I still find helpful).
•I wasn't afraid of medication.
•I gave myself permission to fail.
•I took on a very flexible volunteer job in a completely different type of work & environment.
•I was frequently told "It does get better" and it did.
