I’ve currently got several #Hugo sites and looking to make them more friendly for less techncial contributors.
I’m looking at “Sveltia CMS” which seems to be adjacent to my needs but my ideal would be a separate service I could run on an independent server somehow. Like a smallish app that provides a custom interface to the relevant backe nds. I as admin have access to sites A, B, C, and D. User #1 has access to jsut A, while User #2 has access to C & D.
Anything similar to this? Sveltia *might* do the job, at elastic to an extent, but I defintiely think I’ll need to deploy it per-site.

@zoharlee @cstross I’m reading *The Regicide Report* and trying to decide if I should pause to watch two movies that have been rather directly referenced (albeit with slightly different titles) before continuing. Although the in-book review of the movies, albeit in the continuity of the Laundry books, is not exactly positive.
@MacBalance @Migueldeicaza you can use caching and stuff to speed up stuff.
But the main problem I think is that Actions is no working tool and maybe never was intended as such. It is a gatekeeper. You work locally, you test locally until you are satisfied. Then you push and trigger the action (hopefully) once.
Only if you introduced a regression, you might iterate with GH Actions in the loop. This is the gatekeeper that stops you from shooting in your foot.

@pluralistic This thread reminds me of a sign I saw on a road trip when I was growing up. It was placed at the intersection of a road and a driveway, and I immediately started laughing as we passed it. I originally interpreted it to mean it was an entrance reserved for, I dunno, houseplants, and there must be a different entrance for people somewhere else.
