In 1979, a police strike in New Orleans canceled Mardi Gras from the top down... but Mardi Gras from the bottom up flourished. IMO one of the greatest Mardi Gras ever, along with 2006.

The thing that gets me the worst is, before 2019, everyone wore masks at the cancer clinic

But now they don't

And they don't tell their patients to mask, or take any kind of precautions

And when I suggest it to people who have cancer, they say oh no I don't need to do that, my doctor didn't say anything about that
