@browneyes Knowing my luck, I will be one of those who get nuked here.

Cannot leave due to legal but also personal reasons.

I find it funny, however, how our masses are out on the roads for what happened today, but they don't come out for their own rights. A mentally illogical qaum the Pakistani.

@browneyes These are dark times indeed, it is getting lawless here too, people throwing grenades in houses.

We all have that one title whose world, whose writing all seems perfectly tailored to us, feeling like it was made just for you.

For me, that is Rent A Hero No.1

Strongest of recommends.

Have you grown so fond of corporations, Ultrasalaryman?

There is a kind of alienation that occurs to me. Perhaps it happens to others on the spectrum too.

Maybe because I do not exhibit the proper sociological nor emotional cues, I am less likely to be included.

Reading more papers about neurotypical bias and the interaction of neurotypical peers with neurodivergent ones, it's all so enlightening, but also more disheartening.

Wish I could make a time machine, and stop my parents. Will talk about how selfish having kids is some other day.

Being treated as the perpetual outsider can weigh heavy on one's mental peace.

Some colleagues often talk of fake friends, but people here are transactional by nature in my view, culturally so.

I am not gonna fake a grandiose stand and say I'd rather be alone than surrounded by fake people, for that implies it was my choice.

Rather, I would have some people to socialize with, even if they truly didn't care, because people don't care right now either - nor are there any.

@rootcompute Indeed, I am honestly not even interested in new games, it's more that these titles are things I didn't have access to growing up, or would never have known existed like Gihren's Greed/Ambition series.

Trust me if my i5 of the 4th gen didn't have overheating problems you would see many Gamecube and Playstation 2 games on my feed. The 3D card in this is quite capable, for those kinds of games RX 480, 8 gigabytes, gotten from someone who retired it.

Fiddling with electric wires again, at first we thought it was the power company but it seems not to be the case.

Going to try to make some wires direct, see what happens.

The distant transformer buzz, the cold weather and the pitch black all make for an ominous, and unsettling night.

My phone is playing It's A Sin from the PSB, and for some reason this adds to the worry.

@rootcompute It also cost over 20,000 PKRs, was going for 2x the cost of a PS2.

Only one I saw here, we were visiting a friend of my dad's. That uncle's daughters had one, only for Naruto and Pokemon.

It was quite painful, knowing that it was basically a dust catcher in that home, but to each their own, or so I suppose.

@rootcompute Funny history of ours, Nintendo consoles never took off here.

The cartridge era console games post NES had to be imported, so here very few people if any had Super Nintendo, the 64 and so on. Gamecube was the one that made a dent here, due to its wrestling games, as WWE was massive here.

That happened after they found a way to put DVD loaders in it to play pirated games.

And then after Wii, the popularity died again, though affluents have Switch.

@Judeau Digging into these old games, one finds odd balancing issues here and there, very likely due to being out of time in development.

Things like broken formulas, stats that don't work as they should, I find dissecting the balance of older games interesting, and even the myths they give rise to.

Now, I happen to know a bit about this series, in fact there is a famous Chainsaw meme, that is even referenced in MS.

If you have a chainsaw, you are in luck and just need to use it.

So I am spending the night here, one thing I realize is, he has people that do care for him, it feels stark, me who has a phone that never rings - so much so that whenever someone is calling, I know it's because they merely need medical advice or have some use of me, perhaps a bank errand or something - and he who is called by his parents, or some other relative.

I feel alien, always wondering how people are close with their cousins.

The only one I can relate to is one who I never met oddly.

I have mentioned before, a colleague who lives alone in Hayatabad, a good fellow, maybe the closest person I have to a friend although he only seems to remember me when he has use of me.

Still, his house is pleasant and comfortable so I enjoy being there, it is rather like staying in a hotel.

Then, today I was invited to his home because again, he feels unsafe. In his neighborhood a homemade bomb was thrown into someone's home.

That's how things are in Peshawar.
