@jamesthebard Those custom shells are SICK. Do you have a place where you buy aftermarket game carts? I have a few N64 games I'd love to mod with a smokey transparent plastic.

Listen, I love security like the next guy, but can we please stop forcing MFA using just my email? Can you ask me if I want to use email, text, or an app?
I'm so tired of logging into something arbitrary, like a gaming site, and getting hit with "PLEASE PUT IN THIS 6 DIGIT CODE" or worse, it keeps me signed in but makes me put in the code any time I click on something, multiple times. Zero trust is crazy.

Terrifying read about Moltbook. I love starting my day with dread about the future.
And yes, I'm aware that what's posted on Moltbook is most likely human run or human generated. Like the article talks about, it's most likely role play. And, I think things like this are made from the "AI Hype" train. Like, look how much closer we are to AGI, kind of hype. When that's not necessarily true.
But it stirs up a lot of "what if..." questions tech people are asking but none of our billionare overlords are taking seriously.
Of course, being a tech person, I'm probably more paranoid about rogue technology than most. So, take my opinion with a grain of salt.
I have a stockpile of media, books, games and projects to survive the winter weather. Too bored to do any of it. Guess I'll just watch TV for 12 hours.

@jamesthebard In the same boat. Everything is charged and ready to go. Wondering how long my homelab and network can run on my battery backups. Guess we will see! Good luck fellow ice stormer 🫡.
Bread and milk demand levels off the chart.
@simple_sabotage Using the persisting horrors to my advantage. Got it.
Dear Fediverse,
Any tips on finding a job out of state? Trying to relocate across the US.
All of my job experience (IT Sysadmin) is local to the state I'm in. I don't think it's wise to move without a job. I reached out to recruiters there but didn't hear back from any of them.
Hmmmm.
Giving stuff away feels good. Love seeing a clean room after a thrift store run. Maybe this year is the year of letting things go to a new home.
Reading the #mistborn trilogy for the first time. On book 2.
It's basically like:
Nothing happens
Nothing happens
People talking
300 more pages of nothing
OMG!!!!
EVERYTHING'S ON FIRE!
OH THE HUMANITY! IT'S ALL GONE!
Nothing happens
People talking
Nothing happens...
I'm on chapter 42. Thanks for coming to my incomplete book review.

@BigHeadMode Awesome! Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it!
@BigHeadMode oh, good to know! I'm not 100% sold on it just yet. I like the idea of keeping my posts in markdown just in case I want to take the site down and archive them. So really, anything that is quick to edit with markdown is a good start. I looked into Jekyll, do you think that would be a better choice?
Building a microblog with hugo soon. I really like writing documentation in markdown, just makes sense to blog that way too.
Ah, YouTube "goodbye" bait and switch video season. My favorite.
